Photography 101: Photographing the Route of the Presidential Inaugural on Pennsylvania Avenue

Description:
Planning on seeing the Inaugural Parade?    As this is a truly  historic one, you will have only one chance to take pictures.  So, this is a class you do not want to miss.

The Avenue of the Presidents linking the Capitol with the White House offers excellent opportunities to practice architectural photography along the route of the Presidential Inaugural Parade, just two days before the parade begins.

Led by professional architectural photographer E. David Luria, we begin with the magnificent  Willard Hotel, where many Presidents have stayed, as seen over the ice skating rink in nearby Pershing Park.

Then  we go on to photograph City Hall, the Ronald Reagan International Trade Building, the Old Post Office, and the Navy Memorial,  and the long view of the US Capitol at the end of the avenue.  We will discuss where to get situated along the route and how to capture the best pictures of the parade.

This event is being co-promoted with Things To Do DC.
